Triple Whale is a strong attribution platform. But many brands looking for an alternative don't want better attribution, they want to know what they kept. Here's how 8 alternatives compare on profit, attribution and price, with a worked example in dollars.
On this page
The best Triple Whale alternatives depend on the job you bought it for. If you mainly want to know what you kept after COGS, shipping, fees and ads, StoreHero is the profit pick. If you need multi-touch attribution, look at Polar Analytics or Northbeam. For one cheap daily profit number, try TrueProfit or Bloom Analytics.
We checked every price, rating and review count below on the vendor's own pricing page or Shopify App Store listing on 20 October 2026. We build StoreHero and rank it first, so we've also written down where it falls short, starting with the big one: StoreHero doesn't do attribution.
What is Triple Whale?
Triple Whale calls itself the AI operating system for ecommerce. At its core are the Triple Pixel, multi-touch attribution, BI dashboards and Moby, an AI agent that analyses performance and, on higher plans, acts in your ad accounts. It does track profit: its help centre explains how to add shipping, COGS, payment gateway fees and custom expenses to get net profit, down to channel, campaign and ad. It has a 4.1 rating from 93 reviews on the Shopify App Store.
Why brands look for Triple Whale alternatives
Three reasons come up again and again.
- Price at your GMV band. Triple Whale's pricing page says every price is based on your annual GMV plus the package you choose, that paid plans are 12-month subscriptions, and that you move up a tier automatically as revenue grows. As of October 2026 the page shows no dollar figures, only "Book a walkthrough", while the App Store listing shows Foundation at $219/month and Automate at $749/month.
- They wanted profit, not attribution. Plenty of founders buy an attribution tool when the question they actually ask on Monday is "did we make money last week?" Attribution splits the credit for a sale between ads; it doesn't tell you what's left after product costs, shipping, fees and the ad spend itself.
- Complexity. Pixels, attribution models, lookback windows and a SQL editor are powerful for a media buying team, and a lot to run for a five-person brand.
Profit or attribution: which job are you hiring for?
Take a $100 order. Product costs are $38, shipping, fulfilment and payment fees come to $11, and it took $27 of ads to win. Your contribution margin is $24, the dollars left to pay the team and then make a profit. Attribution tells you which of three ads should get the credit for that $27, while contribution margin tells you whether the $27 was worth spending at all. Our contribution margin formula guide walks through the maths, and multi-touch attribution vs profitability covers why the two answers often disagree.
Neither job is wrong, and some brands run both. But if you pay for attribution and only ever read the profit tile, a cheaper tool built for profit will serve you better.

The 8 best Triple Whale alternatives in 2026
1. StoreHero: best for contribution margin and weekly actions
StoreHero connects Shopify, Meta, Google, TikTok and Klaviyo into a margin-true P&L, from net sales through gross margin and contribution margin to net profit, by channel, product and order, then turns it into a ranked weekly action plan with owners. It adds goals and forecasting, profit LTV by cohort, and an MCP so Claude or ChatGPT answer from your real numbers.
It also automates answer engine optimisation (AEO): StoreHero AI Search tracks how ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Google's AI answers mention you against competitors, then writes the content to close the gaps and publishes it to Shopify once you approve it.
Best for: Shopify brands from about $500K to 8 figures, and their agencies. Price (as of October 2026): from $179/month up to $1M revenue and $249/month for $1M–$2M, priced by revenue band, with a 7-day free trial (see pricing).
Where it falls short: it isn't an attribution tool, so pair it with one if you need multi-touch models. Profit is only as good as your costs, which is why StoreHero syncs COGS with history from Shopify, applies fulfilment and shipping rules, pulls shipping from ShipStation or ShipBob, and takes anything else by CSV or Zapier (see integrations). And it has 13 reviews on the Shopify App Store so far (5.0).
2. Polar Analytics: best for brands with a data team
Polar Analytics gives each brand its own Snowflake database, a semantic layer, a first-party pixel and multi-touch attribution, plus AI agents and the Polar MCP. Its App Store listing says it tracks profit and contribution margin by channel and product, and it has a 4.9 rating from 116 reviews. Price: Business Intelligence from $510/month and the Core plan at $720/month for brands under $5M GMV, as of October 2026. Best for: larger multichannel brands with someone technical in-house.
3. Northbeam: best for big ad budgets
Northbeam is first-party multi-touch attribution with view-through conversions and the Northbeam MCP, plus optional incrementality and media mix modelling on higher plans. Price: Starter at $1,500 for brands spending under $1.5M a year on ads and Professional at $3,500/month, both quoted on a call, as of October 2026. Best for: teams spending six figures a month across many channels. It's an attribution upgrade on Triple Whale, not a cheaper option.
4. Lifetimely by AMP: best for LTV and cohorts
Lifetimely, part of AMP, is a profit and LTV analyst for Shopify with a daily P&L, predictive LTV, CAC payback and a Profit Agent, and its FAQ says it calculates contribution margin after variable costs. Price: free up to 50 orders a month, then $49 (500 orders), $149 (3,000) and $299 (7,000) a month with a 14-day trial, as of October 2026. It has a 4.9 rating from 565 App Store reviews. Best for: repeat-purchase and subscription brands (more on LTV and CAC payback), bearing in mind that order-based pricing climbs with volume.
5. TrueProfit: best low-cost net profit tracker
TrueProfit syncs your costs and shows Shopify net profit in real time, with a 4.9 rating from 918 App Store reviews. Price: $35/month for 300 orders (then $0.30 an order), with $60, $100 and $200 plans and a 14-day trial, as of October 2026; the P&L report starts on the $60 plan, and marketing attribution is on the $100 plan according to TrueProfit's pricing page (its App Store listing puts it on the $200 plan). Best for: smaller stores that want one accurate daily profit number.
6. BeProfit: best for a simple P&L across shops
BeProfit tracks profit by order, product, country and shop, with a 4.5 rating from 203 reviews. Price: on its App Store listing, $49/month (450 orders), $99 (900), $149 (1,700) and $249 for unlimited orders and shops, with a 14-day trial, as of October 2026. Best for: small and mid-sized sellers running more than one store.
7. Peel: best for retention analytics
Peel is retention and subscription analytics: cohorts, RFM segments, LTV and 150+ metrics, with audiences you can push to Klaviyo and Meta, and a 5.0 rating from 38 reviews. Price: Core from $199/month month-to-month ($179 on the annual rate), priced on monthly orders, with a 7-day trial, as of October 2026. Best for: retention and CRM teams, since it's about customers more than the P&L.
8. Bloom Analytics: best on a tight budget
Bloom Analytics shows profit after COGS, shipping, ads and expenses, including contribution margin, with a 5.0 rating from 45 reviews. Price: a free plan, then $20, $40 and $80 a month (attribution sits on the $80 plan), with a 14-day trial, as of October 2026. Best for: small Shopify stores watching every dollar.
What about Hyros and Cometly?
If attribution is the only job, Hyros and Cometly come up too. We couldn't find a public pricing page for Hyros. Cometly's pricing page now says it's built for B2B SaaS, priced on pageviews with no free trial, so check the fit before you book a demo. Neither is a profit tool.
In the table, "Listed" means the feature appears on the vendor's App Store listing, and "Not listed" means we couldn't find it on its pricing or product pages, so ask before you rule a tool out.

Triple Whale pricing vs the alternatives at $1.5M a year
Here's what a Shopify brand doing $1.5M a year, roughly 1,250 orders a month at a $100 average order, would pay each month on monthly billing, as of October 2026.

Spread over 1,250 orders, StoreHero's $249 is about 20 cents an order, against the $24 of contribution margin on the $100 order above. The cheapest tools cost less again and Northbeam costs 6 times more, so the real question isn't the subscription, it's whether the tool changes what you do with the $27 of ad spend behind every order. The break-even ROAS calculator shows that number for your store in a minute. For Triple Whale itself, ask for the price at your GMV band in writing, and whether it's a 12-month commitment.
Which Triple Whale alternative should you pick?

- Your main question is profit: StoreHero, for contribution margin by channel and product, forecasting and a weekly action plan. If you also need attribution, keep an attribution tool next to it.
- You need to credit every ad: Triple Whale itself, Northbeam for very large budgets, or Polar Analytics if you also want a warehouse.
- Small store on a budget: TrueProfit or Bloom Analytics for a daily profit number under $50 a month.
- Agency: StoreHero's agency plan is $399/month for 3 client stores plus $130 per extra store. More in ecommerce analytics for agencies.

Frequently asked questions
What is cheaper than Triple Whale?
TrueProfit (from $35/month), Bloom Analytics (free plan, then from $20/month), BeProfit (from $49/month) and Lifetimely (free up to 50 orders, then from $49/month) all cost less than Triple Whale's Foundation plan, which is $219/month on the Shopify App Store as of October 2026. StoreHero starts at $179/month for brands up to $1M revenue. None of them replaces Triple Whale's multi-touch attribution; they're built for profit tracking.
How much does Triple Whale cost?
Triple Whale has a free plan. Its pricing page says paid plans are priced on your annual GMV and the package you choose, run as 12-month subscriptions billed monthly or annually, and shows prices only after a walkthrough. Its Shopify App Store listing shows Foundation at $219/month ($2,190/year) and Automate at $749/month ($7,490/year), as of October 2026.
Does Triple Whale track profit?
Yes. Once you add shipping costs, COGS, payment gateway fees and custom expenses, Triple Whale shows net profit, and its help centre says you can see profitability by channel, campaign and ad. It's measurement-first, though, so if profit is the main reason you'd buy it, a profit-first tool such as StoreHero, which builds contribution margin by channel and product, may fit better for less.
Which is better, Triple Whale or Northbeam?
Both are attribution tools. Northbeam's plans are aimed at brands with large ad budgets, starting at $1,500 for brands spending under $1.5M a year on ads, while Triple Whale has a free plan and paid plans from $219/month on the Shopify App Store. If you spend heavily across many channels and have an analyst to run it, Northbeam is worth a demo; if not, Triple Whale's entry plans cost far less.
Is Triple Whale worth it?
It is if you need multi-touch attribution and an AI agent that can act in your ad accounts, and you'll use them every week. If you mostly read the profit numbers, you're paying for attribution you don't use: a profit tool such as StoreHero, Lifetimely or TrueProfit answers that question for less, and StoreHero adds contribution margin by channel and a weekly action plan.
