For tracking net profit, TrueProfit is the best of the three for most Shopify stores under $1M a year: it's the cheapest (from $35 a month, as of October 2026) and has the most detailed cost settings. Pick Lifetimely if LTV and cohorts run your business, BeProfit if you sell across several shops or marketplaces, and StoreHero if you're a $1M to $10M brand that needs contribution margin by channel and product rather than one net profit number.

StoreHero is the best of the four for Shopify brands doing $1M to $50M a year. All four track net profit, but StoreHero is the only one that shows contribution margin by channel, product and ad creative, ties a forecast to your profit target, runs AI agents and a weekly action plan in Claude, ChatGPT and Slack, and helps you get named in ChatGPT and Google's AI answers with StoreHero AI Search. TrueProfit is the cheapest daily profit number for stores under $1M, Lifetimely suits brands that only need LTV cohorts, and BeProfit fits sellers running Amazon and WooCommerce alongside Shopify.

We build StoreHero, so we've checked every price, feature and rating below against each vendor's own pricing page or Shopify App Store listing in October 2026, and we say where it costs more. For the wider field, see our ranking of 11 profit tracking tools and our Triple Whale alternatives guide.

What is StoreHero?

StoreHero is a profit analytics and AI platform for Shopify brands, built around contribution margin in dollars rather than a single net profit number. It connects Shopify, Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Klaviyo and GA4 into a margin-true P&L, then tells you what to do about it each week. It has a 5.0 rating from 16 reviews on the Shopify App Store.

  • Pricing (as of October 2026): priced by revenue over the last 12 months, not orders: $179 a month up to $1M, $249 for $1M to $2M, $399 for $2M to $5M, $499 for $5M to $10M, $699 for $10M to $15M and $899 for $15M to $20M, with a custom price above that. Every feature is on every plan, with a 7-day free trial and up to 12% off yearly (pricing).
  • Contribution margin by channel and product: from gross margin through margin after fulfilment to contribution margin and net profit, every day, so you see which channel and which product made the money, not just the total.
  • Creative Overview: every Meta ad's image or video next to its spend, ROAS and the profit it made after COGS, shipping and fees, so a 3.9-ROAS sale reel that loses money after the discount shows up as a loss.
  • Goals and forecasting: annual goals turned into monthly targets, a forecast against each one and the marketing spend those targets allow (forecasting and goals).
  • AI agents and the StoreHero MCP: agents watch profit, ad spend and costs every day and wait for your approval before changing anything, the weekly action plan ranks what to do by the margin at stake, and the same numbers answer you in Claude, ChatGPT and Slack (Agent Reports).
  • StoreHero AI Search: our AEO product asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Google's AI the questions your buyers ask, shows who gets named instead of you, then writes the content to close the gap. More in our AEO for ecommerce playbook.
  • Where it costs more: for a store under $1M that only wants a daily net profit number, $179 a month is more than the others charge. It also isn't a multi-touch attribution tool, so pair it with one if your media team needs click-level credit.

What is Lifetimely?

Lifetimely is a profit and LTV app owned by AMP, on the Shopify App Store since 2019 with 4.9 from 565 reviews. Its strength is predictive LTV and cohorts on every plan, and it now leads with a Profit Agent and the Lifetimely MCP.

  • Pricing (as of October 2026): free up to 50 orders, then $49 (500 orders), $149 (3,000), $299 (7,000), $499 (15,000), $749 (25,000) and $999 above that (pricing). Amazon data is $75 a month extra.
  • Versus StoreHero: Lifetimely has no profit-per-creative view, its forecasts are sales forecasts rather than goals tied to a profit target, and it has nothing for AI search visibility. Its price also climbs with orders, so a growing brand moves up a tier as volume rises even when margin doesn't.

What is TrueProfit?

TrueProfit is a net profit tracker for Shopify with the biggest review base of the four: 4.9 from 918 reviews. It has the most detailed cost settings, with COGS by SKU, quantity or country and shipping rules by weight or destination, plus the TrueProfit MCP.

  • Pricing (as of October 2026): $35 (300 orders), $60 (600), $100 (1,500) and $200 (3,500), each with a fee per extra order, up to $1,000 a month in extra fees on the top plan (pricing). Each store needs its own plan.
  • Versus StoreHero: TrueProfit answers "what did we make?" well and cheaply, but has no forecasting, no weekly action plan and nothing for AI search. Ad-level profit sits on the $200 plan, and at 15,000 orders a month the per-order fees take it to about $1,005, more than StoreHero's $899.

What is BeProfit?

BeProfit tracks profit by order, product, country and shop, with Shopify, Amazon and WooCommerce in one dashboard and 4.5 from 203 reviews on the App Store.

  • Pricing (as of October 2026): $49 (450 orders), $99 (900), $149 (1,700) and $249 for unlimited orders and shops, about 20% less yearly (pricing).
  • Versus StoreHero: BeProfit is the simplest way to put several marketplaces in one P&L, but it lists no MCP, no AI agents and nothing for AI search, and its LTV cohorts and simulators start at $149.

Which Shopify profit tracker is best for net profit?

On net profit alone they're closer than the marketing suggests, because all four take off COGS, shipping, payment fees and ad spend. Three things separate them once you're past $1M a year.

1. Margin you can act on, not just a total

Take a $100 order: $38 of product costs, $11 of shipping, fulfilment and payment fees, and $27 of ads leaves $24 of contribution margin. All four will show you that $24. StoreHero then splits it by channel, product and Meta creative, so you can see that the sale reel with the best ROAS lost money after the discount while a UGC video carried the month. That's the question a $5M brand asks on Monday, and it's why we built StoreHero around contribution margin in dollars. Try your own numbers in the order profit calculator.

2. What it costs as you grow

Monthly price at 400, 1,650, 5,000 and 15,000 orders: StoreHero $179 to $899 by revenue; Lifetimely $49 to $499; TrueProfit $60 to $1,005; BeProfit $49 to $249
Monthly billing, assuming a $100 average order. Sources: storehero.ai/pricing, useamp.com/pricing, trueprofit.io/pricing, BeProfit App Store listing, October 2026

Lifetimely, TrueProfit and BeProfit price by orders, so the bill rises with volume. StoreHero prices by revenue with every feature included, so a lower-AOV brand doing lots of orders doesn't pay more per order. At a $100 average order StoreHero costs more at small volumes, $179 against $49 to $60, but by 15,000 orders a month TrueProfit's per-order fees reach about $1,005 against StoreHero's $899, and Lifetimely is $499 without creative profit, profit-target forecasting or AI search. For a brand spending tens of thousands a month on ads, one better budget call a month pays for any of them many times over.

3. AI and AEO

All four now talk about AI, but they mean different things. TrueProfit and Lifetimely let Claude or ChatGPT query your data through an MCP, and Lifetimely's Profit Agent suggests next moves. StoreHero does both, adds agents that monitor and draft work for your approval, delivers a ranked weekly action plan in Slack, and is the only one of the four with an AEO product. AI-referred sessions to Shopify stores were up 197% year on year in Shopify's Q2 2026 data, and StoreHero AI Search tracks whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI name your products, then writes the pages to fix it. See how ChatGPT recommends products for how those answers are picked.

Verdict: which one should you pick?

Decision card: StoreHero for Shopify brands doing $1M to $50M; TrueProfit only under $1M on a budget; Lifetimely only for LTV; BeProfit only with Amazon and WooCommerce
Which profit tracker fits your store. Based on vendor pricing pages and App Store listings, October 2026

$1M to $50M a year: StoreHero

Once you're spending real money on ads, "what did we make?" turns into "where should the next dollar go?". StoreHero answers that with contribution margin by channel, product and creative, a forecast tied to your profit target, agents and a weekly action plan, and AI Search for the shoppers now asking ChatGPT what to buy. It's built for $5M+ founders and COOs who want one place to run profit, not three tools stitched together.

Subscription and repeat-purchase brands: StoreHero

StoreHero's Profit Lifetime Value builds cohorts on contribution margin rather than revenue and connects to Recharge, so you set CAC targets from what a customer is actually worth. Lifetimely's predictive LTV is good, and it's the alternative if cohorts are the only report you'll ever open. Our guide to customer lifetime value and CAC payback shows what to look for.

When another tool fits better

If you're under $1M and only want a cheap daily net profit number, TrueProfit from $35 a month does that job. If you sell on Amazon and WooCommerce as well as Shopify and want them in one P&L, BeProfit's $249 Plus plan covers unlimited shops. More on running multiple Shopify stores.

Whichever you choose, fill in Shopify's cost per item first and check one week of orders against your own maths, because every profit tool is only as accurate as the costs you give it. For the attribution side, see StoreHero vs Triple Whale.

Key takeaways

  • TrueProfit is the cheapest of the three for most stores under $1M a year, from $35 a month for 300 orders, with the most detailed COGS and shipping settings.
  • Lifetimely (owned by AMP) is free up to 50 orders a month, paid from $49, and is strongest on LTV, cohorts and CAC payback.
  • BeProfit runs from $49 to $249 a month; its $249 Plus plan covers unlimited orders and shops across Shopify, Amazon and WooCommerce.
  • All three price by orders, not revenue: a $2M brand at a $100 average order pays about $115 to $149 a month.
  • Each is only as accurate as the costs you load, so set Shopify's cost per item first and check a week of orders by hand.
  • StoreHero, priced by revenue from $179 a month, is the pick for $1M to $10M brands that need contribution margin by channel and product, a forecast and a weekly plan, rather than one net profit number.

Frequently asked questions

What's the best profit analytics app for Shopify?

For Shopify brands doing $1M to $50M a year, StoreHero is the best pick: it tracks net profit like the others, then adds contribution margin by channel, product and ad creative, a forecast tied to your profit target, AI agents and a weekly action plan, and StoreHero AI Search for visibility in ChatGPT and Google AI. Plans run from $179 to $899 a month by revenue, with every feature included.

What is TrueProfit and how does it work?

TrueProfit is a Shopify app that tracks net profit in real time. It syncs your orders, ad spend from platforms like Facebook, Google and TikTok, and payment fees, then takes off the product, shipping and custom costs you set up to show profit by day, product and order. Plans start at $35 a month for 300 orders, with a fee per extra order.

Is TrueProfit accurate?

TrueProfit's net profit is as accurate as the costs you give it. Ad spend and payment fees sync automatically, but product costs and shipping need setting up correctly, by SKU, quantity, country or weight. It has a 4.9 rating from 918 Shopify App Store reviews. Check one week of orders against your own maths before relying on it.

Is Lifetimely free?

For very small stores. Lifetimely's free plan covers up to 50 orders a month. Paid plans start at $49 a month for 500 orders and rise with order volume to $999 a month, with a 14-day free trial, and add the Profit Agent and the Lifetimely MCP.

What is Lifetimely?

Lifetimely is a profit and lifetime value analytics app for Shopify brands, owned by AMP. It combines a daily P&L with LTV, cohort and CAC reports and a Profit Agent that suggests next moves. It has a 4.9 rating from 565 Shopify App Store reviews. Unlike StoreHero, it has no profit-per-creative view or AI search visibility tool.

Does BeProfit have a free plan?

No free plan is listed. BeProfit's plans run from $49 a month for 450 orders to $249 a month for unlimited orders and shops, each with a 14-day free trial, and paying yearly saves about 20%.

Is StoreHero better than TrueProfit?

For brands past $1M a year, yes. TrueProfit is a cheaper way to one daily net profit number for small stores. StoreHero adds contribution margin by channel, product and creative, forecasting against a profit target, AI agents, a weekly action plan, an MCP and AI search visibility, priced by revenue so per-order fees never climb. At 15,000 orders a month TrueProfit costs about $1,005 against StoreHero's $899.

Is StoreHero better than Lifetimely?

For most brands doing $1M or more, yes. Both have an MCP and an AI agent, but StoreHero adds profit per Meta creative, goals and forecasts tied to your profit target, a weekly action plan ranked by margin, and StoreHero AI Search. Lifetimely's predictive LTV is its strength, and its price rises with order volume.
